A new filing in Bill Rausch’s ongoing sexual assault case in DC shows that his victim has begun to work with the Network for Victim Recovery of DC, an advocacy group that provides legal services. In their first letter to the court, lawyers from NVRDC are asking that nobody from Bill’s legal team (or anyone working with him) try to contact her. They also ask that they be notified whenever Bill’s legal team attempts to gather personal information about her.
This is a smart move, considering the actions of Bill’s lawyer in his recent protection order hearing, where his victim was made to watch a homemade sex tape on the stand so that his lawyer could ask her if she enjoyed being hit by him.
If they attempt to degrade this witness as they did with Bill’s mistress last year, her lawyers are prepared to fight.
