It’s been a busy week within the community that surrounds the Maura Murray mystery. Earlier this week, Audioboom decided to begin removing Erinn Larkin’s podcast due to repeated instances of defamation and doxxing of a rape victim. Over on Missing Maura Murray, Lance and Tim spoke about the weirdness of what’s been going on, as well.
Meanwhile, Internet sleuths have been combing through old posts of a Twitter account named “Carlodewit” after our post last week that uncovered how a well-known Internet troll shares a “linguistic tic” with Billy Rausch’s mother, Sharon Rausch.
Since the post, Carlo’s account has gone private. Prior to the switch, people found several tweets that defamed Billy’s mistress, who was awarded a restraining order after testifying that Billy choked her and called her “Maura.” Whoever was behind that account says Billy’s mistress committed perjury and was caught lying, all untrue accusations. In fact, the judge in that case required Billy to take 22 domestic violence classes. According to Billy’s victim, someone using Sharon Rausch’s Facebook account sent her dozens of unwanted notifications as she was filling out her report with the police. Billy’s wife finalized their divorce on May 12, last year.
