Since the incident in the Outer Banks, when a Murray family advocate stalked my family on vacation, the Murrays have made some significant progress in calming the hate that once propagated on their social media.
Firstly, it appears Julie and Kurt have made changes to their Facebook pages, limiting the posts that attack journalists or harass people. In years past, their followers have threatened to decapitate journalist Maggie Freleng and have stalked commenters online, but that sort of behavior seems to have been silenced in the last six months.
More importantly, Julie has created a TikTok channel that is providing key facts of the case without bias or spin (so far). Her last few posts illuminate what we know of the crime scene and Maura’s biography. She even stated clearly what she believes happened to her sister (trusted the wrong person that day and was involved in foul play).

Personally, this is a surprising and welcome turn of events. I hope she continues to produce helpful content in a fair and truthful manner.
