Last fall, an unwitting podcast fan became the subject of harassment and doxxing by Murray family advocate Erinn Larkin and Eric Collins, a podcaster who is being investigated for online harassment. After this young woman commented favorably about the Maura Murray case on social media, Larkin came to believe that this woman was using a secret identity, since her hair looked a lot like the hair of someone Larkin was fighting with at the time. Yeah, crazy, right?
Larkin and Collins then proceeded to dig through this woman’s background to find her real name and her address, as well as where she was employed in an attempt to intimidate her and to “prove” she was their enemy (spoiler alert, she was not).
Collins continued to harass this woman, going so far as to contact her at work and to email her private address to others. The behavior escalated until July, when she went to her local police department and filed a report. Collins then began to harass the police from that department. Since Collins lives in Canada, there’s not much to be done. But this woman’s complaint may have played a part in the Department of Homeland Security suddenly taking an interest in the case.
Meanwhile, Erinn Larkin’s alarming behavior continues, even as the Murray family keeps her close. Last week, she and Collins tracked down Fulk’s mother on Facebook and harassed her in several messages, claiming she was being stalked (spoiler alert: she’s presented no evidence of stalking to date).
